In this message, we inform you about the third round of collective labor agreement negotiations for a new collective labor agreement for the Insurance Companies. On Monday, April 13, 2026, we discussed all proposals, finalized several matters, and made a small step forward regarding wages and the duration of the agreement.

Wage and term
Following our call to employers to make a new offer in the third round, a new offer has been received. The wage offer remains the same, namely 2% on January 1, 2027, but the duration is shortened from two years to one and a half years. We responded to a small step by the employers with a duration of a maximum of 12 months and by keeping our wage percentages unchanged. Now it is up to the employers again to make a new offer in the fourth round.
Retirement
During the previous round of negotiations, the trade unions proposed to the employers that the collective labour agreement franchise be equated to the minimum statutory franchise. The employers are now agreeing to this, effective January 1, 2027. For the second half of 2026, the arrangement will apply as it does for the first half of 2026.
The other pension point concerned the indexation of pensionable income during disability. The employers' delegation surveyed their members to see whether employers had this in order. Among their respondents, disability was already covered, meaning that for them, it did not need to be included in the collective labour agreement. However, the trade unions want this to be properly regulated for all employees in the collective labour agreement, with a scheme based on principles. This topic will return to the agenda for the upcoming round.
Employability
The collective labor agreement parties agree on the necessity for employees to develop (and continue to develop). The employers facilitate this, partly in light of the (future) application of AI in the sector. This is reflected in a development plan, which also covers AI. This 'ABC plan' consists of Part A for development within the current position, Part B for a different position within the organization, and Part C for a position outside the organization. A more detailed proposal will be discussed again at the upcoming meeting.
Proposal matrix
The proposals from the employers and the three trade unions have been clustered in a proposal matrix. All proposals have now been discussed at least once, with the majority not being adopted by the employers for various reasons. Further discussions are certainly still being held on a number of them, such as the volunteer scheme, the extension of the third year of unemployment benefits (PAWW), the reservist scheme, the study budget, CSR, and an investigation into the scope of the collective labour agreement.
