During the online member meetings, we spoke with the members about the situation regarding the collective labor agreement at DocMorris. Thank you to everyone who attended and asked questions.

A clear picture emerged from the discussions. There is understanding for the situation DocMorris finds itself in, but at the same time, there is a widespread feeling that the current offer does not do sufficient justice to the employees' dedication. The members feel that DocMorris needs to demonstrate more and that the employees are taken seriously. Alternatives were also discussed that, according to the members, better align with their commitment and expectations.
Need more insight
The members would also like more insight into exactly what the savings yield for DocMorris. If employees are asked to go along with this, it is logical that there should be more clarity in return. The employees expect DocMorris to be honest about this.
Many members indicate that they feel DocMorris is currently focusing primarily on savings in personnel costs, whereas they also see opportunities in other areas. However, they do not see sufficient evidence that DocMorris is actually taking measures in this regard.
“Security” for the employees
During the general meetings, we also reflected on DocMorris's willingness to discuss a social plan. For De Unie That is important, because DocMorris asks employees to contribute to making the company healthy. Then there should be something in return, in the form of clarity and a safety net in case something changes after all.
Discussing a social plan does not in itself mean that anything has been decided yet, but it does provide more clarity for employees regarding where they stand should the situation change.

And then a general appeal
The trade union federation for professionals, the VCP, has launched a petition to protest against this cabinet's austerity plans for social security. De Unie is a member of the VCP. You can support this protest by this online petition to draw.

De Unie takes these signals into account in the future. The clearer it is that this is a widespread issue among the employees, the more strongly we can convey this to DocMorris.
It is now up to DocMorris to De Unie to invite again for consultation, as also announced in their message to the staff.
