On Thursday, September 26th, De Unie Together with the other unions, we have consulted with management about the announced reorganization. We are happy to inform you about the current status and what this means for employees in practice.

Background of the reorganization
The reorganization is drastic and has two main causes:
- Termination of push belt production in Tilburg
- Bosch has decided to move the remaining production volumes to the factory in Vietnam
- Discontinuation of E-stack activities
In-house production for Bosch will cease at the end of 2026. In addition, the E-stack market entry activities will be terminated due to the lack of a viable business case (overcapacity, new entrants, and price pressure).
Consequences for employment
The reorganization will be implemented in phases and will have major consequences for personnel:
- In 2026: about 137 jobs expired.
- In 2027: about 250 jobs.
- In 2028: approximately again 170 jobs.
After that, the organization expects to continue for approximately 145 employees counting. The future prospects of these employees at Bosch Transmission are also not entirely certain.
These figures make the impact painfully clear. We are seeing a broader trend: Bosch Automotive recently announced that in Germany, approximately 13.000 jobs disappear, on top of previous cuts.
Social plan and commitment De Unie
The existing social plan, which runs until August 31, 2028, applies.
Proposals were made by the trade unions for additions to the current social plan, such as a higher correction factor, an increase in the maximum transition amount, attention to pension accrual, and a voluntary severance scheme.
The management indicates that it does not want to reopen the social plan, but has promised to discuss the requests internally again.
De Unie continues to champion everyone's interests. We closely monitor the process, actively raise concerns and signals, and ensure that management takes responsibility for all employees.
