Improved social plan

During the meeting of April 13, 2026, ASML responded substantively to the proposals of De Unie and other unions. ASML indicates that it has taken significant steps and on a number of topics we actually see an improvement compared to previous responses, but on a number of essential topics we still see no or insufficient movement. You can find ASML's full response here. here read

Employment

For De Unie Maintaining employment remains of great importance. We continue to focus on the principle that this reorganization must be implemented without forced redundancies. This entails obligations, and the agreements we make in the social plan must comply with this principle.

An agreement regarding the enforcement of the non-compete clause is not appropriate in this context. ASML has indicated that it does intend to hold the employees concerned to the non-compete clause.

The farm-out structure should also be considered in this context, but natural attrition and agreeing on a replacement scheme can also contribute positively. Incidentally, ASML has indicated that it is open to a replacement scheme under certain conditions.

Financial compensation

This concerns agreements regarding, for example, accepting a lower-qualified position, but naturally also regarding termination compensation. More specifically, ASML proposes setting the factor for the transition payment at 2,5. This is, of course, a slight improvement compared to the initial offer. ASML does, however, intend to maintain the capping for employees who are close to the state pension age.

How further

We will study the proposal carefully and would like to know what you think of it.

For this reason, we invite members to attend a digital members' meeting on: Monday, April 20, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

The members have now received an invitation to register for this meeting. After registering, they will receive a confirmation, and on Monday afternoon, the link for the invitation will be sent to those who have registered.
