De Unie at Signify
De Unie is committed to the sustainable employability of employees at Signify!
During the last collective labor agreement period, De Unie decided not to sign the current collective labour agreement, as a result of which we have not held discussions regarding the safeguarding of collective interests. However, we have now rejoined collective labour agreement negotiations for a new Signify CLA.
In addition to concluding the Phillips collective labor agreement, De Unie regular conversations with Signify. That is on average 5 times a year. This also applies to conversations with Signify's Central Works Council. In addition, represents De Unie collective and individual interests of the members during reorganizations.
What's going on at Signify
Over the past few months, we have been negotiating a new Central Social Plan and collective labour agreement for Signify. We were able to reach an agreement on the new social plan, but not on a new collective labour agreement. The employer has now made a final offer. This will be explained to the members in the coming weeks and presented for a vote. Signify is not doing well due to fierce competition from China. For this reason, reorganizations take place regularly worldwide. This also has consequences for employment in the Netherlands.
