De Unie at APG
De Unie is currently in consultation at APG to arrive at an improved social plan. These improvements primarily concern the process and have little to no material impact. This is necessary due to APG's new strategic direction, which is leading to a far-reaching reorganization.
It is expected that a net total of 1.200 FTEs of employment will be lost at APG over the coming years. The targeted cost savings are estimated at approximately 280 million in total.
In addition, APG is busy with the implementation of the Pensions Future Act. As part of this, the largest pension fund in the Netherlands, ABP, will transfer as of this coming January 1st.
What is going on at the moment?
Currently, several major developments are taking place simultaneously at APG. The reorganization is an important part of this. For De Unie the guidance and coordination of the reorganization process and the 2030 strategy are of particular importance to our current and potential members.
The reorganization affects everyone. Not only the people who are leaving, but also the people who are staying. This process takes a heavy toll on them as well.
