At NN, continuous changes are leading to increasing uncertainty among employees. Cost savings directly impact people's work. By outsourcing activities abroad, jobs are disappearing, resulting in more and more NN employees becoming redundant. This creates uncertainty about job security and income.
De Unie stands up for NN employees and is committed to ensuring clear agreements on job security, income and terms of employment. We also aim to minimise redundancies by reaching agreements with NN on training and development opportunities for employees, so that they can take on other roles within NN. Should your job nevertheless become insecure, we will provide the legal support you need. That way, you can be sure you’ll get what you’re entitled to.
Do you have questions about the NN collective labour agreement? Our chatbot Una will help you with practical questions about your employment conditions, so you know exactly where you stand. You can try it out immediately in the bottom right corner of this page.
Your input determines what we commit to. We actively gather what's happening on the shop floor. Through polls, conversations, and signals from practice, we collect input on topics that matter to you and your NN colleagues. We take that input to the periodic meeting and negotiations with NN. Your voice and the voices of your colleagues are thus directly reflected in the agreements that are made. Naturally, we also keep you informed of all the latest developments.
Good support and advocacy are no luxury in an organisation that is constantly evolving. That’s why, at De Unie, you can become a member for the first year at NN’s expense.
Your collective labour agreement includes provisions regarding membership at the employer’s expense. All you need to do is register with us; we’ll sort out the rest with NN. This gives you an easy way to see if De Unie is right for you. Of course, your membership is confidential; we never share personal data with employers.
Pay absolutely nothing for a full year's membership! In your collective labour agreement, we've made arrangements so that you can become a member for a year at your employer's expense.

Legal assistance, exclusive member benefits, support with work and income, and a clear understanding of your pension. We genuinely have your best interests at heart, even on an individual basis.
Even when everything is going well, or there are no collective bargaining negotiations at the moment, we’ll continue to support you in your development, growth and job satisfaction.
I’d like to become a member! The cabinet wants to shorten the maximum duration of unemployment benefit to one year. This means that if you are dismissed, you will have a shorter entitlement to a wage-related benefit.
In addition, it is proposed that the maximum daily wage be reduced by 20%. This maximum sets the upper limit for unemployment benefit.
The cabinet is also proposing to significantly limit accrual. Currently, for every year worked in the first 10 years, you accrue 1 month of unemployment benefit. If this cabinet has its way, this will be halved to half a month per year worked. This means that after ten years of employment, you will only be able to rely on unemployment benefit for five months instead of 10 months, and will otherwise have to fall back on social assistance.
In addition, the reference period requirement is being adjusted, meaning you will have to have worked for longer to even qualify for the short-term unemployment benefit of 3 months. Both have major consequences, especially for young people.
The benefit in the first two months of unemployment benefit should be increased from 75% to 80%.
Sample calculation (indicative):
If the maximum daily wage 20% falls:
That's a difference of nearly €1,000 gross per month at maximum benefit.
For middle and higher incomes, this can therefore mean a significant drop in income.
The plans involve a reduction in benefits under the WIA in several areas. The most significant changes relate to (1) the benefit ceiling and (2) the abolition of IVA (for new entrants).
For people with supplementary insurance for an excess, it depends on the policy terms whether this difference is compensated (and for how long).
For the state pension (AOW), the intention to further increase the state pension age means that you may become entitled to your state pension earlier than previously agreed in the Pension Agreement. In the coalition agreement, the state pension age is linked 1-to-1 to the increase in life expectancy, as opposed to 8 months per year of life as part of the pension agreement.
