Collective labor agreement process

The current Collective Labor Agreement for Health Insurers will still run on 1 October 2022, but the social partners are already starting negotiations for a new Collective Labor Agreement. So now the question is what do you want to see in the new collective labor agreement? What would you like to change and achieve in terms of pay, leave, hybrid work, development, wellbeing, social involvement and inclusion & diversity. I would like to receive your response no later than Friday 15 April 2022 via emanuel.geurts@unie.nl† With your input, I will then prepare our proposal letter for the new collective labor agreement for health insurers. On April 20, 2022, we will start negotiations with an explanation of the proposals letters from trade unions and employers. Of course you will receive a report as well as the final collective labor agreement commitment De Unie.

Retirement

On March 30, 2022, the Cabinet submitted new pension legislation to the 2e Room. The trade union federation VCP (where De Unie is affiliated with) has given an initial response to it. Read more about this on https://www.vcp.nl/nieuwe-pensioenwet-fundament-is-gelegd/.

In the context of the Future Pensions Act, the social partners and the SBZ pension fund have started a tripartite working group. This is to share information with each other and to coordinate the future transition to a solidary or flexible pension scheme. For example, the SBZ has information about the file structure and can have calculations made, which the social partners can use in their discussions about the choice to be made for the type of pension contract.

Thursday 14 April there will be regular consultations between employers, trade unions and the board of the SBZ pension fund. The agenda includes topics such as communication to participants regarding new scheme, pension agreement, risk appetite research, future record and current affairs in Ukraine.

Sector consultation

On Thursday 31 March, there was a sector consultation for health insurers. In it we discussed the start of consultations for a new collective labor agreement for health insurers on 20 April. From the previous collective labor agreement negotiations, there was an action point to inventory which instruments are available at the affiliated health insurers when it comes to sustainable employability. That inventory turned out to be quite complete and with that this point was also settled. We also considered the usefulness and necessity of the sector fund. The sector fund was once established for ESF subsidies and later also used for the Working Conditions Covenant. All obligations were completed years ago so that their liquidation is actually obvious. This will come back in the coming collective labor agreement discussions.
