Rabobank: Negotiations Rabobank and Obvion

De Unie, Rabobank and the other trade unions continued negotiations on 15 June, 30 June and 1 July about pension, social plan and severance scheme as of 1 January 2021. The collective labor agreement will be discussed from September. Here is a short update on the way to a negotiation result.

Retirement

The new national pension agreement has yet to be transposed into legislation, but we know in outline what to take into account. We are talking about a bridging period in which we give the different interests of the active (employees), sleepers and pensioners a place in the new pension scheme. In the agreements between the parties to the collective labor agreement, the duration, premium level, personal contribution, accrual, balance and a study agreement on a national pension agreement are discussed. The precise details will be given in the negotiation result to be achieved by the parties to the collective labor agreement.

Social plan

With regard to the social plan, we are talking about an extension of the social plan and a separate severance scheme for employees. A severance scheme is a new instrument for the bank and its employees that can help reduce the forced departure of employees during a reorganization.

Final negotiation

We have Tuesday 7 July to dot the i's on the social plan, pension and severance scheme. We also have a meeting with a delegation from the pension fund. Once the dots have been put together, the (member) communication will follow this week.
