This day we mainly spent time on the list of other topics that we have put on the list. Topics that are important to parties, but which we haven't gotten to in the past year and a half. This consultation gave the parties positive energy.

Discussed are:

  • fiscal processing of the trade union dues
  • vitality leave
  • CSR
  • the Work Code (how do we deal with our own and external employees)
  • leave savings
  • better disability insurance for partially disabled employees
  • development and employability
  • faster growth through the scales

We can probably come to an agreement on some of these topics, others we need to discuss further.

Progress

These are positive developments. It is important to keep in mind that these topics will not be decisive for the members. De Unie looks initially at salary, social plan and pension. These are the topics that members ask about. Subjects such as sustainable employability, saving for leave, faster growth through the scales and vitality leave can make a collective labor agreement more attractive and perhaps compensate somewhat for a lesser salary increase.

Negotiation agreement not yet in sight

It is not yet certain whether a collective labor agreement can be concluded. NN has offered an opening for a collective wage increase but has not yet made a formal wage offer. NN says it wants to combine the formal wage offer with proposals for social plan and pension. De Unie can make a realistic estimate of which wage increase is feasible. We also shared this estimate in the members' meeting.

The new pension scheme, which we are negotiating in the pension working group, is also a difficult subject with many facets and very large financial interests. Soon you will receive the vision of De Unie on the results of the pension survey.

Annual result 2021

NN Group achieved an excellent result in 2021. Through De Unie this has been brought up in the consultation. We find it inconceivable that NN does not allow employees to share equally with such profits. According to NN, the decision to repurchase shares and increase the dividend is in line with the shareholder commitments.

Where do we go from here?

Wednesday 2 March 2022 – periodic consultation
Tuesday 8 March 2022 – collective labor agreement consultation
Tuesday 15 March 2022 – pension consultation

If developments give cause to do so, then De Unie reschedule membership meetings.
