Metalektro: CAO and RVU texts

The time has come: the revised text of the Collective Labor Agreement for Metalektro has been completed and submitted to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment. You can download the full text find and download here. The collective labor agreement has been registered in order to be declared universally binding. This will be realized in the coming weeks. Then the collective labor agreement applies to everyone in the Metalektro.
You should have received the one-off payment of 2021% in October 2,3 for the period December 2020 to July 2021. You will also have to see the structural pay increase of 2,3% from 1 July 2021 on your pay slip. If this is not the case, please contact us via email@example.com and enclose your pay slips for July 2021 and October 2021.
With reluctance we draw your attention to an application other than the one-off payment De Unie has communicated. The final text of the collective labor agreement states that you are only eligible for the one-off payment if you have been employed by the same employer from December 1, 2020 to October 1, 2021! We are very excited about that. Because we believe that this does not do justice to the idea behind the one-off payment – namely compensation for the missed structural salary increase over the period December 2020 to July 2021. From the first moment that questions from colleagues about this one-off payment, we FME and the others vakbondand summoned to pay the one-off benefit to everyone who has been employed by the same employer from December 1, 2020 to July 1, 2021. Unfortunately, the parties did not comply. We deeply regret that. It is not the first time that poorly worded protocol texts create noise about how things should be carried out.
Unfortunately, for some colleagues, this means that they miss out on this one-off payment. And in these expensive times that is of course not advertising for both employers and vakbondand. What a missed opportunity De Unie Re. Fortunately, a structural wage increase of 2022% will take effect in February 3. After that, we will have to think quickly about agreements from 1 December 2022, because by then the collective labor agreement will already have ended. Early Retirement Scheme (RVU)
In the meantime, we have not been idle and have also drawn up the protocol for the Early Retirement Scheme (RVU) and registered it with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment. You can text find and download here. A preliminary website has also been created: https://www.rvumetalektro.nl/. We recommend that you visit this website during the Christmas period to orientate yourself with your (possible) partner and loved ones whether this arrangement is something for you. The scheme is available until January 1, 2026 for colleagues who have been at least 6 months to a maximum of 3 years ahead of the state pension age that applies to them. You can here look up the applicable state pension age.
Furthermore, we would like to urge you to make use of the free financial advice that will be offered at the beginning of 2022 via https://www.rvumetalektro.nl. If you meet the conditions, we call on you to register as soon as possible in 2022. Because we expect that there will be quite a bit of interest and it will be awarded on the first come first serve-principle. Finally, we also ask you to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org that you are interested in the RVU. De Unie can then provide you with tips regarding the RVU.
At De Unie only one company has come on the line to cancel the 2,3% structural wage increase. We rejected that request with reasons.
Recently, work has also been done on a strategic agenda in which vakbondand employers work together on a prosperous future of the Metalektro sector for employees and employers. This was adopted by the Consultative Council in the Metalektro (ROM) on 14 December 2021. There will be another special publication and we will share it with you in due course.
