What is it about:

In December 2021, wages in this sector still rose by 2,5%, but inflation only really picked up after that. There are members who believe that employers should bear the current inflation (7 to 8%). After all, the groceries, fuel and energy bills have risen sharply and, according to those members, this must be compensated in the salary. As logical as that may seem, it is neither fair nor realistic to leave that bill to employers alone. Politics also influences this.

In the sometimes difficult negotiations, we have always insisted that people have been hit hard in the wallet. And also that things are going quite well in many companies.

Ultimately, De Unie On June 17, 2022, together with the other trade unions for the 3e negotiated new wage and pension agreements for employees covered by the collective collective labor agreement for Foodservice and Wholesale in Food. This has led to a final proposal from employers, which is now submitted to the members of the trade unions.

Incidentally, this collective labor agreement only concerns wage developments and pensions. All other CLA topics are still subject to negotiation and that will be discussed in new consultations for your GIL CLA later this year (we will start again in August). Now we would like to know what you think about the wage development, because the next wage increase can then already take effect in July.

Below is the content of the employers' final proposal:

  • Duration
    • The term of the new collective labor agreement is 18 months, from 1 July 2022 to 31 December 2023.
  • Loon
    • The wage scales and actual wages are permanently increased by;
    • 3% as of July 1, 2022 and 1,5% as of February 1, 2023.
    • For employers who work with wage payment per period, this increase applies on the 1st day of the 7th period 2022 and the 2nd period 2023.
  • One-off payment
    • Employees who were already working for the employer on 1 January 2022 will receive a one-off payment of €2022 gross with their salary payment in July 250, assuming full-time employment. Subsequently, in the salary payment in July 2023, a one-off payment of € 250 gross based on full-time employment if the employee was employed on 1 January 2023. An employee with part-time employment receives a proportional benefit. An employee is also the temporary worker who meets the months requirement!
  • Retirement
    • We are dealing with an increase in the pension premium which we cannot avoid. The pension premium of the BPF Foodservice will increase from 2023% to 2024% in the years 25,7 and 26,9. The premium distribution remains unchanged at 2/3 for the employer's account and 1/3 for the employee's account. This means that 0,5% of the wage margin is for the account of the employer.

Although not everything has been compensated, it seems that they have listened. During the term of one and a half years, this concerns a wage offer of 5% in total which is intended for a wage increase and employer's contribution to the pension premium. There are also one-time payments.
