State of the negotiations for May 20

Negotiations had been slow and difficult until May 20. AZL took the position that little was possible and seemed to aim for a choice between salary and pension. For this reason, De Unie organized a petition. In the field of pensions, the parties had already come closer together. But we had seen too little movement from AZL in the area of the structural salary increase.

Consultation on 20 May

Negotiations have begun with the submission of the petition. In response to this petition, AZL said, among other things:

“The number of responses to the recent petition about the collective labor agreement developments shows great commitment to AZL. Good to see and an important fact, given the transition that we will go through together in the coming period.

We (AZL) take the signal that has been sent very seriously and have included this input in order to arrive at an appropriate interpretation of our employment conditions, in relation to creating a healthy future for our organization.”

Subsequently, the parties to the collective labor agreement discussed the salary increase. Ultimately, the parties agreed on a structural salary increase of 3% that will be implemented from 1 July 2022.

Retirement

In the field of retirement, De Unie didn't quite get what we wanted. But a good first step has been taken. The pension premium paid by the employer is structurally increased by 1% of the pension base. This increase will take effect from November 2022. The payment will be deposited into the additional savings scheme. The costs of opening the account and the administration costs are paid by the employer. A pension working group is also working with the assignment to report to the parties to the collective labor agreement in October 2022. With this, pension is now seriously on the agenda and a start has been made with increasing the pension premium.
