On Thursday 28 April 2022, the trade unions, HR and COR started negotiations for a new collective labor agreement and a new social plan. In this I, Emanuel Geurts, represent your interests as a member of De Unie† My new colleague Mandy Raaijmakers is accompanying me in this negotiation process.

Input

First of all, we would like to thank all members and employees for their input in the run-up to the collective labor agreement negotiations! With this input, we tap into the concerns and wishes that are present and we work on a package of employment conditions that really contributes to this.

Propose

You have given us input on the topics reward & appreciation, COVID, social environment, time, wellbeing and social plan. You will find the proposals therein our letter of commitment. At Aegon's letter of commitment Notice that there is no wage offer. The reason for this is that Allegra van Hövell-Patrizi and Boaz Magid of Aegon Netherlands first want to inform us about Aegon's (financial) situation. This explanation will take place on Wednesday 11 May.

Continuation

We have agreed on the following themes: social plan, remuneration, well-being, leave, employability, hybrid work, social relevance, inclusion and diversity. We will deal with two or three of these themes per round. In this way we work step by step towards a new collective labor agreement and a new social plan. After each round of negotiations, we inform you about what has been discussed and what you can give your opinion about. The second round of negotiations is scheduled for Monday, May 23, 2022. Then we will at least receive a concrete wage offer from Aegon.
