Proposal letter De Unie

Our proposal letter was clear in itself. Rabobank only had two questions about the proposals of De Unie.

  1. Rabobank wanted to be sure that De Unie 5,5% plus 1,5% salary increase. I confirmed that and I emphasized once again that after so many years of loss of purchasing power, the members want to compensate for the high inflation that Rabobank itself also expects. And that the members are very serious about this.
  2. Rabobank was surprised that De Unie is based on a tax-maximum pension, while the current pension scheme does not have a tax-maximum maximum. The answer to that is simple. Due to the low interest rate, De Unie have to accept that a full pension could not be built up. This became unaffordable. Now that we are moving to a pension system that is less dependent on interest, a full pension is once again achievable. So want De Unie that Rabobank and employees can again build up a full pension.

Proposal letter from Rabobank

Rabobank's proposal letter calls for further De Unie a lot of questions.

  • We regard Rabobank's pension proposals as an extremely low opening offer. Employer organizations and trade unions have concluded a pension agreement in the SER. There were both Rabobank and De Unie represented, the pension agreement has calculated that you need an accrual premium of 30% for a full pension accrual. We cannot place the 19% in your employer's proposal.
  • Rabobank is not making any concrete proposal for the salary increase. Even after requests from De Unie Unfortunately, and the insistence of other trade unions, no concrete salary offer was made.
  • Under the heading Employee wellbeing, Rabobank indicates that it is prepared to agree on a parental leave arrangement or a bereavement leave arrangement. Both objectives are positive for the employees.
  • Under Growing a better world together, your employer gives you some options to improve the travel allowance.
  • Under Future fit employability, an opening is given to make agreements about the sustainable employability of employees. De Unie would like to explore this subject during the negotiations with Rabobank.
